About Photography
I am a student in the School of Digital Arts: Graphic Design Bachelor of Fine Arts program at the International Academy of Design and Technology (IADT) Seattle, WA.
I am graduating at the end of August 2009.
The works in this section represent samples of works done for Digital Photography coursework. Each week the instructor gave us a different assignment in photographic types and subjects. In the process, we learned the basics of using manual settings on our cameras, such as shutter and aperture settings. We were encouraged to experiment, and to also learn some of the techniques in Photoshop to correct for color, focus and so on.
As a resident of Seattle, I enjoyed the opportunities provided to explore everything from my own backyard to my neighborhood and tourist spots such as Pike Place Market (a wonderful place to photograph people, which was one of our assignments).
As a Graphic Design graduate with a previous degree in English Literature and a strong background in editing and proofreading, I intend to leverage my skills by finding employment with a non-profit organization or a small design firm, or as a freelance graphic designer and editor/proofreader. I believe that my unique combination of skills will prove to be an value-added asset. |
